We provide counselling for children aged 2 to 12. For those over 12, our Youth Counselling services are available to ensure continued age-appropriate support.
Our child counselling combines play and talk therapy to meet each child’s unique needs. We often include family members in the process, offering a supportive approach that nurtures both the child and their environment.
Play Therapy
When children find it hard to express emotions with words, play therapy offers a safe and natural outlet. Through play, they can process feelings and experiences, helping therapists better understand and support them. This approach can be used in both individual and family sessions.
Talk therapy allows children to share their thoughts and emotions through guided conversation with a therapist. When helpful, parents may be involved in the process. Depending on the child’s age, personality, and concerns, we use different therapeutic techniques to create a comfortable, effective space for growth.
Family therapy helps strengthen relationships by improving communication, resolving conflicts, and creating a more supportive home environment. It gives family members a chance to understand one another better, work through challenges together, and build deeper, healthier connections.
Every child has their own story, challenges, and strengths. We offer compassionate, tailored support to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns, ensuring your child feels seen, heard, and supported in the way that suits them best.
We provide child counselling through in-person sessions in Burlington and Ottawa, as well as online across Ontario — making it easier for families to access care in a way that fits their lives.
